Online artist BossLogic has reimagined the cast of the new Barbie movie as Grand Theft Auto characters, including Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
The next Barbie the film received a Grand Theft AutoStyle makeover in a new fan-made movie poster from famous fan artist BossLogic. The artist is responsible for many spectacular fan posters dedicated to franchises across multiple entertainment mediums such as comics, movies, and video games, and has now focused his efforts on reimagining the cast of Barbie as characters in Grand Theft Auto. Barbiewho is no stranger to video games herself, plays her first live-action film from director Greta Gerwig in July, starring Margot Robbie in the eponymous lead role and Ryan Gosling as Ken.
Although their target audience may differ, Grand Theft Auto and Barbie are two very successful franchises. The action-packed crime thriller GTA remains one of the game’s defining milestones, with its recent entry, GTA 5, ranking among the best-selling games of all time. Barbie, meanwhile, has commanded nothing less than royalty in the toy industry since the 1950s. As you might expect, there’s no shortage of fan art dedicated to both. GTA and Barbie. popular artist BossLogic recently unveiled their new piece on Twitter called “Grand Theft Auto B” – a movie poster featuring the cast of the new Barbie film digitally recreated as Grand Theft Auto game cover. The stylized poster features Barbie and Ken (played by Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling) packing some serious heat. Supporting actors Will Ferrell, Simu Liu and America Ferrara are also featured and detailed in GTA-esque poses and saturation. While the idea of a kid-friendly Barbie driving through crime-infested streets of GTA is hilarious to imagine, it’s possible the BossLogic poster could inspire GTA online players to start their own Barbie-style crew.
When it comes to conceptualizing exciting new ideas for popular franchises, professional artist BossLogic has earned a solid reputation for this work. The popular online artist’s work has been included in several official product releases such as variant comic book covers, and Ubisoft even commissioned BossLogic to draw and reveal. There’s a guilty pleasure in seeing unorthodox couples like the ones at BossLogic Grand Theft Auto and Barbie crossing. It is only in the realm of fan creations that one can witness such a pairing. While not all depictions are in good taste, there are plenty like BossLogic that toss the line of ridiculousness with an effect so believable that fans might want to see it become a reality, no matter how absurd the concept.
