A Hampshire ENTREPRENEUR has been honored with a business award for her teepee sleepover business.

Teepover Club founder Camilla Culshaw beat out the competition and won New Franchisor of the Year at the NatWest Encouraging Women into Franchising (EWiF) Awards on June 30.

Camilla’s teepee sleepover business, The Teepover Club, has been operating in Hampshire for just under three years with over a thousand local children enjoying their luxury parties to date, and hundreds of others in other parts of the country with regional franchises.

The work of the 31-year-old mother of two has not gone unnoticed. Camilla has been recognized by the UK franchise industry for her dedication, ambition and ability to inspire others.

Several other inspiring industry leaders were nominated for the New Franchisor of the Year award, but Camilla shone above all the other finalists in the eyes of the judges.

Camilla said: “I arrived that day delighted to be there among the other finalists and sponsors, I did not expect a single second to win.

“After reading about the inspiring women who have won this award in previous years, I was so flattered that I even made the shortlist.”

The Teepover Club creates luxury teepee sleepovers, luxury picnics, pampering parties and, new for 2022, children’s wedding corners, designed for birthdays, special occasions or “just because”.

A concept loved by countless celebrities, including Amanda Holden, Tess Daly, Rochelle Humes and most recently, Kim Kardashian, to name a few, The Teepover Club makes these ‘Instagram-worthy’ trend parties accessible to families across the country.

Earlier this year they were also awarded Best Kids Party Supplier for the 2022 Little Ankle Biters Awards and the business continues to grow from strength to strength with this latest award.

Camilla continued, “Earning this recognition and confidence for the hard work I have done so far has made me more determined than ever to take my franchise to the next level.

“I also hope this award will give future franchisees the confidence they need to trust me and the Teepover Club.”

Although Camilla, from Southampton, already has an established brand on the south coast, in areas such as Southampton, Winchester, Romsey and most of the areas in between. The business owners’ main goal is to expand with additional franchises in the region to meet their growing party demand, before continuing to expand across the country.

Every year since 2008, the annual EWiF Awards have celebrated the achievements of women in the field of franchising. This year the awards were again held at the NatWest building in central London – the first time since the pandemic. Over 140 franchise professionals came together to applaud the successes of women across the UK, in a variety of industries

As Helen Mansfield, Managing Director of EWiF said, “The growing number of women who are finding purpose in running their own businesses, fully backed by their franchise, is a real joy to see!”

The Teepover Club is currently accepting new franchise applicants from across the country – including Winchester, Romsey, Andover to name a few areas, to help build popularity for the existing branch.
