Insurer Says McDonald’s Franchises Not Covered by BIPA Lawsuit

Law360 (June 4, 2021, 5:16 p.m. EDT) – McDonald’s and hundreds of its franchisees are barred from coverage in a class action lawsuit alleging that the fingerprints of fast food chain employees were scanned in violation of the Illinois biometrics. Information Privacy Act, their insurer told Illinois federal court.
