Modder turns PlayStation’s Spider-Man into TMNT


An upcoming mod will bring Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael to the streets of Marvel’s Spider-Man.

fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will soon have the chance to see Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael in action thanks to an upcoming mod for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.

Twitter user Chase (@Space_Dasher) uploaded a video showing off his next mod for Marvel’s Spidermanwhich replaces the titular Wall-Crawler with the beloved pizza-loving turtles of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The video shows Michelango’s preliminary model in action and features the tortoise traversing rooftops and swinging through the streets of New York City. Although the mod still doesn’t have a specific release date, Chase assured players that he plans to release a pack featuring all four Ninja Turtles soon.

While Chase is still working on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles mod, it’s not the only one Spider Man project he has planned. He is also developing several other mods for Marvel’s Spidermanwhich includes a costume based on Web-Head comic artist Mark Bagley’s iconic design in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics. The modder also builds his version of Peter Parker’s costume from The Amazing Spider-Man films, as well as other costumes from previous Spider Man video game titles, such as Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man: End of Time.

Other fans have contributed to the growing library of Marvel’s Spiderman mods. A muppets-themed mod recently caught the community’s attention when it swapped out Spider-Man for an upgraded Kermit the Frog, with players sharing clips depicting the host of The Muppets fighting crime, throwing webs, and appearing throughout the game’s cutscenes. Several fan-made mods have also become famous for allowing players to turn all pigeons in the game into rats, swap the model of Spider- Man with Ben Parker’s gravestone, or even stripping the hero down to his boxers for their entire game.

Marvel’s Spiderman Actor Yuri Lowenthal, who plays Peter Parker, previously revealed that becoming Spider-Man was still his childhood dream. When the actor was asked what job he wanted when he was five, he posted a photo of a much younger Lowenthal who can be seen wearing a plastic Spider-Man mask. The actor accompanied the post with another photo showing him wearing a motion capture suit during the production of Marvel’s SpidermanLowenthal thanking studio developer Insomniac Games for making his dreams come true.

Marvel’s Spiderman is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. Its derived title, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Moralesis currently available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, with a PC release slated for late 2022.
