November 17 Avengers # 50 is shaping up to be a milestone on multiple fronts – not only as writer Jason Aaron’s 50th issue on the title to be the 750th issue in the Marvel’s Avengers comic book series, but also as the culmination of several stirring storylines before the writer moves on to the proverbial next phase of his long term plans on the book.

“[Avengers #50 is] the start of the next big step in global evolution, and in a sense maybe even the crescendo, not just of my Avengers run, but of everything I’ve done at Marvel over the past 16 years. ” , Aaron recently wrote in his bulletin.

If that weren’t enough, it will also kick off a multiverse road trip for Ghost Rider Robbie Reyes., the reveal of several new “surprising” Avengers teammates.

“It’s such an honor to be a part of Avengers issue 750, and I seek to celebrate the rich history of the title and its iconic characters by using this issue as the gargantuan kickoff of a story that ‘This will be as epic and epic as it gets, ”Aaron said when announcing the issue.
