My Hero Academia Promo Reveals Izuku’s Spider-Man Movement

My hero university is hailed as one of the best series to ever face superheroes. The manga has found itself compared to giants like Marvel and DC Comics, so creator Kohei Horikoshi must be thrilled. After all, the artist is a huge fan of Western comics, and it looks like he’s giving Izuku a chance to experience the canvas that Peter Parker does on a regular basis.

The whole thing was revealed this week when a new trailer debuted for My Hero Academia: Mission of the Heroes of the World. The gripping clip saw fans follow Izuku as he and his friends take on a global terrorist ring. The action is insane from the start, and at one point Izuku is shown walking away from a battle with a new friend in tow.

As you can see above, Izuku needed to escape quickly, and he had to do so with someone under his arm. This is why the boy chose to dig deep and his Black Whip for this occasion. His new quirk is finally under control in this shot, and Izuku uses his black whip to move from the rafters to safety.

If this description sounds familiar to you, well, it should be. Not only did Sero do something similar with his gang quirk, Spider-Man made this mode of transportation popular. The hero of the web is known to travel to New York City with his paintings, and Izuku will be able to do the same in Tokyo.

This nod is cute for My hero university fans to note, and this must be special for Horikoshi. After all, the artist is an avid Marvel fan, and he’s said on several occasions that Spider-Man is his favorite hero. It’s crazy to see Izuku following in Peter Parker’s footsteps, so fans won’t want to miss this third film once it debuts!
