Standard Chartered launches Welath Academy


Standard Chartered (“the Bank”) and INSEAD, one of the world’s largest and largest business schools, today announced the launch of Standard Chartered-INSEAD Wealth Academy, with a training program global client engagement and wealth management for the Bank’s account managers and wealth management specialists.

Co-created by academic finance and business experts from the respective organizations, the Wealth Academy aims to develop and train the Bank’s relationship teams to become future-ready advisors, providing clients with differentiated, timely, personalized and high quality wealth management advice. The global program will begin with its first cohorts of Relationship Managers and Wealth Specialists in Singapore and Hong Kong in early December 2021 and will expand to teams in other markets over time.

The launch of the Wealth Academy and the program reinforces the Bank’s strategic agenda to grow its banking for the rich. It will deepen the capacities of relational teams, in particular in the areas of wealth advice and customer engagement such as behavioral skills.

The comprehensive program comprises a three-part path – Diploma, Graduation and Masters – which is structured while providing flexibility to allow for the development of individual preferences and goals. The program will provide a solid foundation appreciation for finance and banking as well as distinctive specialist knowledge and skills. Other components offered by the Academy will include wealth engagement modules organized and delivered by Fitch Learning, and a prestigious on-campus program for top learners at INSEAD’s European campus in Fontainebleau, France, or at the hub of San Francisco. The modules offered in the master’s course will include specialist electives such as sustainable investing and multigenerational wealth transfer, in partnership with leading educational and professional institutions in the industry.
