Part of the scene in question actually appears in the ‘Jurassic World Dominion’ trailer, meaning eagle-eyed Redditors like u/M4dmiller were pointing the easter egg at each other a while back. months.
In the sixth film in the “Jurassic Park” franchise, however, the scene lasts a bit longer, making the special cameo much easier to spot and identify. It’s set early on, as the film strives to establish that four years after the events of 2018’s “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,” dinosaurs lived alongside humans – and not necessarily harmoniously. A giant Mosasaurus (they’re about 56 feet long, according to the Jurassic Park Wiki), decides to go after one of the giant steel crab traps that a fishing boat is pulling up. Doing this overturns the ship and survival seems unlikely for the crew.
That ship turns out to be the Saga, commanded by Jake Anderson – a well-known player in “The Deadliest Catch”. Early on, Redditors identified the boat based on its lighting structure. Also on Reddit, a viewer named u/karmar13 claimed that slowing down the frame-by-frame trailer reveals the “AGA” in the ship’s name. Other Redditors came forward after the movie hit theaters to confirm the sighting, saying the boat’s name is shown in the scene. u/ApprehensiveRich2376 posted: “Watched it and recognized the saga straight away, plus you can clearly read the name of the ship in the movie, on the movie screen it’s huge lol, when the attack happens, you can even here someone shouting the name ‘Jake lookout’.”
