Crypto is an important part of the sports world and many crypto companies have agreements with franchises across the United States. With America having some of the most recognizable sports franchises around the world with many people wearing their products at will, there is a need to strike sponsorship deals with these franchises at every opportunity.

One of the sponsorship opportunities over the past year has been in crypto. Crypto is mentioned more than new betting sign up offers when we talk about sports these days. So which companies and franchises have struck the best deals together over time? It will probably be last year in the 2021 season boom!

The basketball team has three championships under its belt, but none since 1983. However, in 2021, they managed to clinch their 20-year premier league title. Last season, they announced that they would strike a deal with Crypto.com.

The deal means Crypto.com has been featured on the jerseys of the 76ers who are considered the dark horses for this season. Joel Embiid even featured in an ad for the company and the 76ers plan to release NFTs.

Another basketball franchise that has embraced the world of crypto by striking a massive deal with Crypto Exchange company FTX. One of the biggest deals made was to change the name of the tribunal. The Miami Heat changed the name to FTX Arena and players such as Nikola Jovic and Jimmy Butler can be seen playing in the arena to promote the FTX name.

The deal was reportedly around $135 million and a great endorsement deal for the massive crypto company.

Basketball again and it’s no surprise that this is the case in the United States. The Cavaliers partnered with United Coin who used the deal with the Cavs to dramatically advance in the crypto world. As part of the deal, the Cavs agreed to display UnitedCoin on the team’s playground.

Not necessarily a franchise but part of the sports world in the United States. Major League Baseball has decided to join the crypto boom and hype by agreeing to a deal with FTX as the official crypto trading sponsor.

You’ll see FTX brandished everywhere at MLB games, like on the umpires who have them on their jerseys.

  • LA Lakers and LA Clippers

The LA teams have both been affected by the joint stadium deal. The famous Staples Arena has changed its name following a new agreement with a crypto company. It was agreed in a $200 million deal that Crypto.Com would take over the sponsorship deal.

Basketball seems to have been affected the most by the crypto world, but that may soon change with the news that the NFL is now accepting blockchain sponsors. However, the association will not allow sponsorships such as stadium name changes.
