Vans Musicians Wanted gives emerging artists the chance to open for Yungblud


Vans has launched its Musicians Wanted competition for 2021, giving emerging global artists the opportunity to share the stage with Yungblud.

Musicians Wanted was launched as a digital competition worldwide for the first time in 2020, with over 22,000 artists entering the competition.

The competition aims to provide a stage for emerging musicians and to celebrate fresh, new and “Off The Wall” talent. Last year’s winners were Britain’s JoeJas, Argentinian singer-songwriter Lucia Tacchetti and Korean experimental rock band numnum.

Artists of all genres and from across Europe, the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region are eligible to participate in Musicians Wanted 2021. In addition to being able to take the stage with Yungblud, winners could purchase Vans products, equipment from the guitar company Kramer. , a premium TuneCore price pack, global music distribution, Spotify playlist and more.


Judges for this year’s competition will include rapper, writer and comic artist Denzel Curry, Grammy-nominated pop star and songwriter Julia Michaels, 88rising founder Sean Miyashiro, as well as Yungblud himself. The top five finalists chosen by the jury from each region will perform in the Vans Musicians Wanted Virtual Concert Series in September 2021.

Regional Grand Prize winners will also be selected and receive Vans merchandise, Kramer gear, global music distribution, playlists on Spotify and Apple Music, and the chance to open for Yungblud at its concerts in January. 2022.

To participate, artists can submit their own original music to the Vans Musicians Wanted website by July 23.
